2.0 Progress Update 3 (Final Version of the Game)


Hi Guys Feast your eyes this is it probably the last ever update of The Ambitious Dungeon... but Certainly not my last Ambitious Project

In this final update i did 3 Major things 

Added an Ending for once you kill the Boss

Added a Death screen for when you Die

Added new loading screens (i know how annoying) that kind of guide you just a little bit 

and on top of that i fixed some things that made the game feel not good.

these fixes are:

(less of a fix and more of a change) Enemies no longer collide and break each other they would cause problems for their directional animations and make them moonwalk and be goofy so ive opted to just let them overlap this isn't really a problem at all anywhere except in the instance of the boss slime where if the enemies are behind him it will be hard to see them but trust me if you swing their health will still drop so don't give up just thin them out 

there was a way to beat the boss by dying but ive fixed that 

the player swinging the sword would cause there to be a 2 second pause in animation making it look silly this has been fixed and should now be smooth as butter

the player would glitch to the left when swinging down this is fixed it was caused by 1 animation being bigger than the rest 

the player directional movement was completely redone with more intricate conditions and now is a lot smoother  

tweaked all of the values in regards to difficulties values affected are Enemy HP, player damage, enemy damage


remaining bugs: ye unfortunately there is still some.

overlapping enemies - Combination of my skills and knowledge and some limitations of Makecode

boom slime Houdini - my guy gets picked up then just vanishes and i have no idea why it doesn't happen all the time but when it does it will render him unusable until game reset

horizontal top walls if you collide while moving in a left or right direction with the walls on the tops of the tilesheets the character may glitch out just walk away to fix it but still annoying from what ive found online it appears to happen in makecode quite often

Slimey walls - you might notice that the slimes sometimes bounce of you into a wall and then halfway across the tilesheet due to their mechanic that makes them bounce off the player this creates that problem its to intricate for my smooth brain to figure out unfortunately
